Yosul’ is a story about the love, passion and competition of young students who study in a art school. The debut of the movie poster is very special. The movie was name ‘Yosul’ (Magic) gives people a sense of mystery. In addition, the three main characters appeared in the poster implied a special relationship between themselves through their facial expressions.

It’s was said that Goo Hye Sun gave her very own views and ideas on the movie poster from the start. This shows the full expectation and love of Goo Hye Sun as a director of this movie. Goo Hye Sun wrote on her homepage saying that this is the first movie poster and she’s feeling very nervous.

Fans who have seen this poster comments that they are waiting for the movie premiere and waiting for sequel of the movie. They believe in Goo Hye Sun’s directing skills and are looking forward to watch this movie.

Goo Hye Sun ever directed short films before. This time she used music as the theme of her movie where she displayed her talents. The movie premiere will be on 24 June in South Korea.

The story of the movie is about this detective (act by Cha Seung Won) who found his wife’s killing traces at a murder scene. In order to cover up this matter for his wife, he tried to solve the mystery by himself. The movie is said to be shown on 3rd December.

In the press conference, Cha Seung Won mentioned that he was shocked when he heard that Song Yoon Ah and Sol Kyung Gu who are getting married. Cha Seung Won has been filming ‘Secret’ with Song Yoon Ah from ending of year 2008 to beginning of 2009.

They have been acting as a couple in the movie and yet he wasn’t aware of Song Yoon Ah’s wedding. Cha Seung Won has also acted with both Song Yoon Ah and Sol Kyung Gu in the movie ‘Jail Breakers’ in year 2002.

Story was about this thirty plus former pop singer Hyun Su (Cha Tae Hyun) who is now a popular radio DJ. He answered call in on his program and chat with the listeners. One day, there was this listener who called up and told him that she had been trying to find her father for a very long time and she was still searching for him. As this was a touching story heard by many listeners, Hyun Su started a program to follow up the story of this girl.

One evening when Hyun Su got home and prepare dinner for his lover, there was someone at the door. A teenager Jung Nam (Park Bo Young) carrying her luggage shows up claiming to be his daughter. And she brought along a mischievous little boy, Ki Dong (Hwang Suk Hyun – he’s very cute and adorable in the movie!), whom she claims to be her son.

In a blink of an eye, Hyun Su had become a father and a grandfather. He become panic and afraid that media will discovers that he has a teen daughter. His career would be over if the media catches the scent of this.

Meanwhile, Jung Nam loves singing a lot. She took part in a singing contest organized by Hyun Su’s radio station. This is one of my favorite scene in the movie. The song that Jung Nam sang in the movie was real nice. (Watch the video below) In the second part of the video was when she entered the contest and having her rehearsal. I was really impressed with the high tone. (For your information, both song was not sung by her)

Park Bo Young who also acted in the movie ‘Our School E.T.’ won the Best Newcomer Actress at the 45th Baeksang Arts Awards. Speeding Scandal collected over 8 million admissions during its showing from December 2008 to Jan 2009 to become one of the Korea’s biggest hits of all time.

A website was set up in Korea to allow viewers to vote for their best classic monster movie in mind. In this survey,’The Host‘ received 54% of the total vote and defeated strong opponents movies like ‘Jaws’ and ‘King Kong’. This survey was organized to meet with the new monster movie that will be showing in this July.

‘The Host‘ was released in 2006. The movie was filmed to believe that there are monsters living in the Han River.

It was a very fresh and new theme. With South Korea best CG technology effect, the movie hits a record of 13 million viewers and becoming the most popular South Korean film in the history. So far there are no other movies that are able to break its record.

The ‘ET” I was refering  here stand for English Teacher. If you ever watch the movie ‘ Our School E.T.‘ (울학교 이티)  you would know that English is one of the important and common language that a Korean student would need to study now in school.

Many government schools in Seoul such as Korea University have hired English teachers from the United States to teach their English courses.The story in this movie was about this teacher who had been teaching Physical Education for the last 10 years in a high school, had to give up teaching his favourite subject and switch to teach English, a subject that he know nuts at all. The hilarious part is that he can’t even speak proper English.

As the school started getting more aware about the importance of english language, the board of directors of the school  decided to retrench some of the fitness teachers and save the cost in order to hired the best english teachers. Therefore, he have left with no choice but to try his very best to teach english in order not to get retrench by the school, as his name is on the top of the retrench list.

Would he able to make it in the end? Find out the answer yourself, watch it! It’s a good movie to watch with your family and friends. Not forgetting to mention that Lee Min Ho is one of the actor in the movie!

You maybe wondering in your mind now. Why do they want to ask you this question? Isn’t it something personal?

Korean movie ‘My boyfriend is type B‘ (B형 남자친구) tells you all. In the Korean TV drama ‘ My name is Kim Sam Soon‘ (내 이름은 김삼순) included a scene when Sam Soon ask Jin Heon about his blood type when he was trapped in the toilet when the toilet paper runs out.

In an article, it says that Koreans take blood types very seriously. Many Koreans, especially women will casually asked others their blood types to predict their inclinations. Type B turns out to be the worst blood type to have in Korea. So can you really judge a person by his/her own blood type? I leave this question to you.

Now you know if you ever get asked about your blood type and yours is ‘B’……well, maybe you can just let them know your horoscope or zodiac instead.
