No doubt that Kim Hyun Joong is very popular right now and so was the idol group that he leads – SS501. They were appointed as Goodwill Ambassador on July 13 around 2pm at Gimpo Airport, Seoul by Korea Airport Corporation (KAC).

Yonhap pointed out yesterday that according to the Korea Airport Corporation, SS501 is very popular in Korea and abroad. Not only of their good image but they are also very talented. Their image is quite consistent with the image of the airport which the airport are going to develop into the economic center of Northeast Asia. Therefore decided to appoint SS501 as the ambassador.

Yonhap said that Korea Airport Corporation would be holding the ceremony at 2pm on the 13th July at the Gimpo Domestic Flight Airport lobby. SS501 being appointed as the ambassador would be acting as an one day staff helping out in the help desk and the security team.
