Chuseok 추석

The biggest and most important of Korean holidays are Seollal and Chuseok. Seollal is the first day of the first month of the lunar year, and thus is an observance of the start of a new year. Chuseok comes on the fifteenth day of the eighth month, and is a big traditional holiday that developed out of Korea’s history as an agricultural society and is observed as  a way to express thanks for the harvest in the harvest season.
