Bae Yong Joon who was appointed as the ambassador to promote Korean tourism last year October, appeared in a special commercial to promote Korea and the “2010-2012 Visit Korea Year” campaign.

“We expect this television commercial to create a huge sensation overseas,” explained Mr Roh Young Woo, Managing Director of Visit Korea Year Committee. “We hope that viewers overseas will become more interested and more fond of Korea through watching the commercial.”

The commercial started airing Friday in Japan on DATV and will be broadcast soon in other regions.

Bae Yong Joon, 37, has been actively promoting Korean culture in Asia since shooting to stardom in the region after starring in 2002 hit TV series “Winter Sonata” alongside actress Choi Ji Woo.

Last year, he released a photo essay titled “Discovering the Beauty of Korea”, which contains self-taken photographs of various cultural artisans that the actor met during his year-long travel around the country. He authored the book in order to introduce Korean culture such as food, tradition and travel locations.

First of all, I would like to thank VANK and KTO for organizing this ‘Blog Korea’ event. I guessed many bloggers felt appreciated of their hard works, time and efforts writing posts about Korea. Regardless of Kpop, Kculture, Ktravel and Kdramas, it not an easy task to post news and articles online daily or frequently.

As for me, I have a full time job which I need to work daily from morning to evening except for Saturday and Sunday. The only time that I can concentrate to write a post or translate the news is after my working hours.

Lee Jun Ki and the President of the Korea Tourism Organization

Lee Jun Ki received very high popularity with his Korean movie “The King and The Clown” and Korean TV dramas “Time Between Dog and Wolf” and “Iljimae”.

In April this year, almost ten thousand fans attended Lee Jun Ki’s Asian Tour Concert. This shows that how popular Lee Jun Ki was in Asia.

Korea Tourism Organization expressed their views by appointing Lee Jun Ki as the new Korea Tourism ambassador.

Through the promotional activities that Lee Jun Ki help in publicized, they hope to promote South Korea travel to more Asian countries fans so that the South Korea tourism industry can be recovery from the impact of H1N1 as soon as possible.

It is said that during the appointment ceremony which was held on 5th August,  Korea Tourism Organization has invited many Chinese medias to participate.

Lee Jun Ki felt honor to be the Korea Tourism ambassador. He was pleased to help in promoting South Korea culture and culture exchange with other countries once again.

He expressed that he would continues to work hard and put in more efforts to show a better image as an appreciation to his Asian fans who have supported him.

CF in china would be broadcast on the theme ‘Infinitely yours, Seoul’ which introduced Seould Hanjeongsik, shopping, clubs, Han River and Nanta performances.

In this CF, DBSK would be acting as hair designers and providing their services to the Chinese tourists. And as for Super Junior, they would be playing the role as the club show host (DJ)

As for the Japan version, the CF would highlight Dongdaemun shopping malls, Sauna, open air carriage and Seoul’s main attractions. In addition, DBSK would have their concert in front of the Banpo Bridge with the Banpo Water Fountain.

Seoul City planned this year theme as  ‘Infinitely yours, Seoul’ through the idea of the ’24 hour living city’ and ‘experience beyond the limits of the city’. These CF would publicize through all regions.

Starting from 30th June onwards, CF featuring DBSK, Super Junior and Girls’ Generation would be broadcast in Southeast Asia.
